The next time Canada goes to Afghanistan, it should go with no weapons
Fighting has intensified lately in Afghanistan which has killed innocent people including civilians in the green village attack and a recent drone airstrike killed farmers in the eastern part of the country.
Since 2014, Canada has left Afghanistan leaving the major forces such as Taliban, US soldiers and ISIS to cause tensions in the region.
A recent peace deal with the US government collapsed after Donald Trump tweeted that he would not meet with Taliban member in the US.
Meanwhile, peace talks were at climax when US Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad met with Taliban officials in Qatar. The ninth round of peace talks successfully completed earlier this month.
The next time, if Canada wants to participate in bringing real Afghan peace, it should first convince Trump to leave Afghanistan at soonest which would obviously reduce civilian and war casualties.
